really would be great if, when we're younger, we don't depend so much on other people in order to feel that we count, or that we have worth. there're just too many kids out there with friends and acquaintances who really aren't watching out for their best interests, and sometimes just out and out take advantage of them.

self esteem matters quite a lot, and the younger you are when you realize that it's all about you and your self image, then the better off you are. then again, there're quite a lot of middle aged persons out there who don't seem to have enough self esteem either, and it's quite sad.
